What is Qtap?
Qtap turns one-time visitors into repeat customers. They scan a QR code or tap an NFC card at your counter and earn stamps or points in the Qtap app. Your dashboard tracks every visit and flags the regulars who stopped coming, and a built-in campaign tool lets you send win-back offers straight to their phones. It's built for small businesses in Qatar and the GCC, priced for a single shop.
Do my customers need to download an app?
Yes. Your customers download the free Qtap app on iOS or Android to collect stamps and redeem rewards at your shop. Loyalty apps are normal now, and Qtap signup takes about thirty seconds with just a phone number and first name. Once they've downloaded it, every Qtap shop they visit after that is already inside the same app. It works anywhere in the world, so tourists and expats in Qatar use the same app your local regulars do.
Does my business need any special hardware?
No hardware required. You can run your entire Qtap loyalty system with a QR code alone, so customers earn and redeem stamps just by scanning a code you display at the counter. If you want the tap-to-earn experience, NFC cards are available as an add-on inside your dashboard's store, and we ship them anywhere in the world. Either way, there's no POS integration to configure and nothing to mount on the counter.
Does Qtap integrate with my cash register or POS system?
Not today. Qtap runs independently of your POS, which means it keeps working when your POS updates or your internet drops at the register. At checkout, staff ring up the sale and then scan the Qtap QR code (or tap the NFC card if you've added one) as a quick second step. POS integration is on our roadmap for merchants who want it, and we're building integrations with the POS systems most common in Qatar first.
Can I choose between stamps and points?
Yes. Qtap supports both models, and you pick when you create your loyalty card. Stamps work well for cafes and restaurants where every purchase is similar in size, so the classic "buy 9 coffees, get the 10th free" flow fits naturally. Points work better for salons or shops where customers spend different amounts each visit, so they earn per QAR spent and redeem at a threshold you set. The model you choose stays fixed for that card, so pick the one that matches how customers pay in your shop.
What happens during the free trial?
You get 14 days of full access to whichever plan you choose. On day 1, you enter a card on file via Stripe and your dashboard unlocks completely, with every feature in your plan available from the start. You run your loyalty program for two weeks. On day 15, your card is charged for the first month, or you cancel before then and pay nothing. Your customer data stays yours either way, trial or paid.
How much does Qtap cost?
Four plans. Starter is $29/month for one shop with unlimited members. Growth is $49/month for two locations. Elite is $79/month for up to five locations and adds AI drift detection. Franchise is $199/month for up to fifteen locations with custom reports. Yearly billing saves about 17% on any plan. Every plan starts with 14 days free on a card via Stripe, and there are no per-transaction fees. For 20 or more locations or white-label, email sales@qtap.qa for a custom plan.
What kind of support do you offer?
You message us on WhatsApp, and a real human answers. Every plan includes WhatsApp support with typical response times of a few hours during business days. Elite and Franchise plans get priority support with faster response times and a direct line for urgent issues. We're based in Doha, so we're in the same timezone as most of our merchants and we understand the shops you're running.
How do I prevent customers from cheating the stamp system?
Qtap's dashboard logs every tap with a timestamp, staff account, and customer identity. You can set a maximum number of taps per customer per day to stop double-tapping. NFC requires the phone to be physically at your counter, and the app blocks taps without a purchase reference. If a customer's pattern looks off, the log shows you exactly what happened and when. Cheating paper punch cards is easy. Cheating Qtap leaves a trail.
Can I use Qtap across multiple locations?
Yes. The Elite plan covers up to 5 locations and the Franchise plan covers up to 15. All locations share one dashboard, and you can see which branch each customer visits most and how your regulars move between shops. A customer who earns stamps at your Downtown branch can redeem at your Pearl branch if you allow it. Each location gets its own QR code, with NFC cards available per location from the dashboard store.
